📍 About this English version
Trasparenza.ai is built for Italian citizens, so most of the platform (7,894 individual municipality pages, the stories, the detailed views) exists only in Italian, because the underlying data is Italian.
This English section covers the project's mission, methodology and press materials. Journalists and researchers: the press kit is here.
01 · The numbers
What is actually in the archive?
Every figure below was measured in our database on 2 September 2026, and each one carries the date its data stops at.
Public contracts
4,630,690
with a CIG, source ANAC, up to 31 December 2025: the 2026 datasets have not been released yet
Municipalities
7,894
one page for each Italian municipality that exists today, plus 19 merged or abolished ones kept in the archive
PNRR run by municipalities
€24.64B
in projects where the municipality is the implementing body · official ReGiS extraction of 13 June 2026
Due viste diverse, non sommabili: "gestiti" conta i progetti di cui il Comune e soggetto attuatore, "localizzati" i progetti di qualsiasi ente sul territorio. Sommarle conterebbe due volte le stesse opere.
Statistical signals
206,306
departures from the expected distribution, not established irregularities · 35,401 at high severity · last detection run 2 September 2026
Read before adding anything up: 13.7% of the contracts are not attributed to any municipality and 53.5% carry no supplier, so the municipal pages do not add up to the national total and any view of who gets paid covers less than half of the contracts. 516 contracts carry an amount far outside any credible scale at the source, and they are not yet excluded from the euro totals. The full list of limitations is on the methodology page.

Each municipality has its own page.
Click any of the six below to open a municipality page (in Italian). Each page carries: the transparency score, top suppliers, statistical signals, PNRR projects in the two separate views, the mayor's salary as computed by law, local taxes (IMU), average IRPEF income and demographic indicators.
Manifesto
The State knows everything about you.
You know almost nothing about it.
Every year, Italians pay over €800 billion in taxes. By law, public spending should be transparent. In practice, it is scattered across thousands of unreadable portals.
Transparency exists on paper, not on screen.
Trasparenza.ai puts that data together. 4,630,690 contracts, 7,894 municipalities, 523,819 suppliers. Always free, for anyone, with no advertising.
Built by Gianluca Ferro, an Italo-Brazilian citizen tired of seeing a State that takes taxes without giving accounts back. The data exists. Just had to put it together.
